Jack Harris had all the members of Pilot on this, his first single. The producer was Alan Parsons. Jack would sing on a number of Alan Parsons Project songs including Day after Day on I Robot and Pyramania on Pyramid, as well as the deep voices on Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether & choir-like voice on The Tale Tell Heart from Tales of Mystery and Imagination. Jack also sang the deep vocals along with Ian on Ten Feet Tall from Pilot's Two's a Crowd. Sail Away was re-released in 1977.
